Dhanishta Nakshatra is the 23d Nakshatra as per Hindu astrology.
Dhanishta is ruled by the eight Vasus, the Gods of abundance that rule the earthly sphere. Aditi (Daughter of King Daksha) with sage Kashyapa (Son of Marichi) had 33 sons who are referred as Devas.
